Happy Saturday,

Most, if not all of us work full time jobs and want to start our nonprofit organization when we have time. Sometimes it feels like we never have time!

We try to research the process on our lunch breaks, weekends, and whenever we get a moment to focus on our nonprofit goals. Sometimes days and weeks go by and we still have not completed our 501(c)(3) paperwork and we tell ourselves "I'm going to get this done!" Am I right?

That was me too! I had a dream in 2019 of starting a nonprofit. I was working full time, in graduate school for my Master of Social Work degree from USC, and suddenly my dad died from heart failure. My mind was like "woah! Hold on a second! I absolutely cannot start my nonprofit right now!"

I put off starting my nonprofit for months! For good reasons such as life happening (my dad passing away) and being a full time student and employee and for some not so good reasons like putting it off until "tomorrow" or wanting to chill instead of focusing on actually making it happen.

We cannot do anything about life happening, because random things do happen and can throw our plans off a little bit.

But, do not lose track of your goals of starting your nonprofit! You can do it.
